Vinyl Siding Institute shares advocacy goals
The Vinyl Siding Institute, Inc. (VSI), trade association for manufacturers of vinyl and other polymeric siding and suppliers to the industry, headlined the 2024 Winter Board Meeting as Presenting Sponsor.
VSI Senior Director of Advocacy – Government Affairs Alex Fernandez shared his association’s work to address the affordable housing crisis by fighting local bans on vinyl siding and other materials. Fernandez discussed how aesthetic mandates, such as those imposed in many jurisdictions in Washington, drive up the cost of housing. These mandates limit consumers’ choices and force them to pay more.
