Online CESCL (Certified Erosion & Sediment Control Lead) RecertifICATION

February 9, 2024 | 8 am to 5 pm

Location

In this one-day online recertification class, participants will receive renewal as a Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL). CESCL certifications must be renewed every three years.

Why do you need a CESCL?

If your project disturbs over an acre of land, is in a subdivision, or poses a risk of stormwater runoff entering a waterway, you will need a Construction Stormwater General Permit from the Department of Ecology. This permit states that all projects disturbing one acre or more of land must have a CESCL. The CESCL is trained to inspect, install and manage stormwater controls on your site. Ecology requires a CESCL to be on-call at all times, so most companies will need more than one employee trained as a CESCL.

Note: You will receive the online class meeting info and a book link the day before the start of class. It will be sent to the email used during registration. To receive your CESCL card and credit for the class, you must sign in for the entire scheduled class time and complete the test at the end.
