L&I provides heat safety training in multiple languages

Knowledge is power when it comes to heat safety training

As the heat rises this week, don’t forget: L&I’s new emergency heat safety rules require additional heat safety training for employees working outside in high temperatures. This is on top of the training workers receive on the permanent Outdoor Heat Exposure rule.

Need to update your workers? Feel free to use the new Safety Orientation training resource available in English, Spanish, and Russian.

L&I has also provided an overview of the emergency heat rules in English and 13 additional languages.

They have also updated the training resources on their Be Heat Smart webpage to the 2022 emergency rule requirements.
