Remembering Past BIAW President Donald McDonald, Jr.

Past BIAW President Donald McDonald, Jr. died June 10 at the age of 91, surrounded by his family in his Kenmore home. A general contractor for over half a century, Don was elected president of the Seattle Master Builders in 1963 and later served as president of BIAW in 2000. He was inducted into the BIAW Hall of Fame in 2002.

A longtime member of the State Building Code Advisory Board, Don was a frequent figure in Olympia getting laws passed to improve the construction industry. His contributions to the association and the building industry cannot be measured and will not be forgotten.

Family and friends are welcome at Inglewood Golf Club at 2:30 pm on Saturday, July 24 to reconnect in remembrance of Don.  In lieu of flowers, you may donate in Don McDonald’s name to https://www.michaeljfox.org for the cure of Parkinson’s Disease.
