As we prepare to welcome the new BIAW President and Second Vice President taking their seat on January 1, 2020, BIAW wanted to take a moment to thank our outgoing leadership for their hard work and dedication to BIAW and the home building industry.

2019 BIAW President Rick Hjelm, Phase II General Contractors, Inc.

Rick Hjelm brought with him over 20 years of experience in the building industry. He started his term traveling the state in his RV with his wife Lynda to visit all local associations and their members. As an active participant of the community, Rick recently wrapped up the Annual Festival of Trees put on by Master Builders Association of Pierce County (MBAPC) where they raised $25,000 for Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. He always is very humble and lights up a room wherever he goes. Rick’s dedication and successes will live on at BIAW far beyond his presidency. Thank you, Rick!

2019 Second Vice President Chris Lockhart, AAA KARTAK Glass and Closet

Chris Lockhart is a huge supporter of the industry. As an outstanding Spike Party chair, he helped organize the very popular Spike Party and reached 700 new members at his local association MBAPC. At MBAPC, he continues his efforts in building a successful Young Professionals chapter. Due to his hard work and dedication, Chris was recently promoted to Tacoma Sales and Operations Director. Congrats to Chris and thank you for your devotion to the building industry.
