2026 BIAW Legislative Action Day (Hill Day)
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, February 25, 2026 in Olympia! Meet with your elected officials and make your voice heard as we discuss proposed legislation that affects the residential construction industry. This is your chance to shape the future and make a difference!
BIAW Legislative Champions' League
Strive to be in BIAW’s Legislative Champions’ League! Annually, BIAW recognizes the top ten member advocates as a part of our Legislative Champions League. Earn your way to the top and have an impact on policies that impact your ability to build. Points are earned only when a BIAW member engages and aligns with BIAW on specific issues and positions:
1 point – for each bill sign-in
2 points – for each weekly legislative update call attended
3 points - for every email sent to their legislator(s) from BIAW’s call to actions
4 points – for being a member resource for staff or legislator on a policy issue
5 points – for testifying virtually in a committee hearing
7 points – for testifying in person in a committee hearing
10 points – for active participation in special events for specific policy reasons, such as press conferences, speaking to a group of legislators, dinners, etc.
