BIAW is proud to award outstanding students in construction-related fields, apprenticeships and continuing education with scholarships. This year 18 recipients were chosen based on the applicant’s field of study, extracurricular activities, and building industry work experiences. I went to Running Start full time, so I graduated high school with a diploma and an Associate Degree."What got you into engineering?“My grandpa was an electrician and my dad is an electrical salesman so I have been around trades a lot. My friend’s grandpa is an engineer and I followed him around for a job shadow and loved it. In that job, you get to help a lot of people.”Favorite part about engineering?“The ability to help others.”Congratulations to Colby and all our scholarship recipients.
